Small Talks!

Civil Discourse Matters!

Let’s talk to one another, across party lines.

GOAL: To develop groups that meet on a regular basis throughout the country that encourage small group conversation broaching topics that may be misunderstood, divisive or need problem solving in an effort to listen to one another’s perspectives, thoughtfully ask questions, find common ground, and learn to agree or disagree with civility and respect for one another.

Group Identities/Specifications:

Each group may differ in name, how they come together, how often and where, based on each facilitator’s idea of what best meets the needs of a particular group, neighborhood, or community.  We’d like each group to have “Live!” as a part of the title, but personalized enough that it reflects their identity:

Coffee Talks! Golfer Talks! Family Talks! High School Talks!  Cul-de-sac Talks! Friend Talks! Campus Talks! Game Night Talks! Neighbor Talks! Patio Talks! Happy Hour Talks!

You get the idea!  These could be held in independent coffee shops, high schools, libraries, your family room or dinner table, backyards, patios!

Your choice!  Your group!

Interested in facilitating or particiating? E-mail me and we will let you know when the facilitator guide is ready to launch, along with a workshop to help you set up your group!
